Each Friday, we feature a reader-submitted tip as our Travel Tip of the Day. This week’s tip comes from reader Lyn C., who says:
“When we travel, I change the luggage tags to my destination. For example, we visited our friends in Germany for five weeks. If my suitcases were lost in transit, I would not want them returned to the US. I changed the tags to our hosts’ address. On the return trip, I replaced the tags with my ‘home’ tags.
Similarly, I do not put our phone number on the luggage tags. I use my brother’s number who is at home waiting for any ‘problem’ call.”
A great tip. Thanks, Lyn!
